How to check in your guests

How event organizers can check in guests to their event.

Blocktickets is a user-friendly mobile check-in app designed for event organizers and fans alike. As an event organizer, you can use the app to scan QR codes and easily grant access to attendees at your events. This guide will provide step-by-step instructions on how to use the Blocktickets Mobile Check-In App as an event organizer.

Download and install the app:

First, download the Blocktickets Mobile Check-In App from the App Store. Please note that the app is not available on the Google Play Store for Android devices. We currently only offer our application for iOS devices. If you do not have an iOS device like an iPhone, you must be provided with a work iPhone or iPad to install the application and check in guests.


Open the app and log in:

Launch the app on your device, and you will be greeted with a login screen. Enter your organizer email address and password that you use to log into your creator panel. Your login screen will look like the below:

Access your event:

After successfully logging in, you will see a list of your upcoming events. Choose the event for which you want to manage check-ins. Click your event.

Note: Prepare for check-ins! Before the event begins, make sure your device has a stable internet connection and a fully charged battery. It is also recommended to have a charger as well as a backup device ready in case of technical difficulties.


Scan QR codes:

As fans arrive at the venue, they will present their QR codes either on their smartphones or printed on their tickets. To scan a QR code, simply point your device's camera at the code. The app will automatically recognize and process the code.

Check-in confirmation:

Once a QR code is successfully scanned, the viewfinder within the app will highlight green, and will display a green confirmation message indicating that the fan has been granted access to the event. If there is an issue with the ticket, the app will show an error message and provide further instructions.


Manual guest check-in

In the event a ticket cannot scan via QR code, or your guest cannot produce their ticket in the mobile app, you can override the QR code check-in process. First, have the guest provide you with their name and their ID. Next, search the guests name in your guest list. Click their name under your guest list, and once their details have been confirmed, press “Check In,” as displayed below:

Manage attendees:

Throughout the check-in process, the app will keep a real-time list of the number of attendees and will display whether or not they are checked into the event. You can access this information at any time by checking the event details screen, and you can also search for attendees via the “Search for attendees” search bar, as displayed below:
